LUDIC LOG
06.18.2004

Hey, hey!  It's a long-unawaited Ludic Log Foto Friday.  Click on the thumby for a bigga pitcha.

A while ago, we went hiking along the Kickapoo River.

You can cross the river via this old abandoned bridge that was used back in the mining days.

It's very odd to see this bridge out in the middle of nowhere, with nothing but forest for miles around.

We stood on the bridge for a long time, thinking of how things used to be.

Then we left the bridge.  Maybe we will never see it again.

There were these brightly colored caterpillars everywhere.

Soon enough we were back home in Chicago.

Nature has to struggle a bit more in Chicago than at Kickapoo State Park.

But there are still beautiful green trees.

In the end, though, only one thing is certain:  Freemasons run the country.
